بعدني بحبك - مايا حبيقة

Maya Hobeika is a Lebanese Mezzo-soprano started her musical career as a member in the LAU (Lebanese American University) choir in 2004. Couple of years later she was performing her first solo from Henry's Purcell Dido & Aneas. Her Solo repertoire with the choir includes works by J.S.Bach, George Bizet, Camille Saint-Saëns , Mozart, Francis Poulenc and others

In parallel to her Bel Canto training with Mrs. Leila Dabaghi , Maya kept on performing from the classical eastern repertoire works by the Rahbani Brothers, Ziad Rahbany, Mohamad Abd el Wahab and others.
She is also pursuing her "OUD" studies at the National Lebanese Conservatory and she is now in her 5th year.

Technically, Maya is trying to get the most from the Bel Canto technique into the Arabic singing without losing the Arabic-oriental sense, phrasing, diction and preserving precise quarter tones and fast ornaments (3ourab).

Her voice is categorized as a Lyric Mezzo-soprano, wide enough to cover from low E(3) up to high C(6) .

Maya is working currently on many projects and is planning a concert in Beirut this fall.
She is in continuous search for a new style that encompasses both her experience in western classical and Arabic classical music.

بالتزامن مع تحصيلها لقواعد الغناء الكلاسيكي مع السيدة ليلى دبغي تابعت مايا تأدية الأعمال الشرقية الكلاسيكية للاخوين رحباني ، زياد الرحباني ، محمد عبد الوهاب وغيرهم
كذلك تتابع مايا دراسة العزف على ألة العود في المعهد العالي للموسيقى في بيروت

تحاول مايا في غنائها الشرقي الاستفادة من نواحي عدة من تقنيات الغناء الكلاسيكي الغربي مع المحافظة على الروح الشرقية للأداء ، إن كان في اللفظ والدقة في إصدار ربع الصوت والعرب السريعة

يصنف صوتها ضمن الميزو- سوبرانو ليريك وهو يمتد من علامة المي 3 إلى الدو 6

تعمل مايا حالياً على عدة مشاريع موسيقية وحفل موسيقي في بيروت هذا الخريف.
هي في بحث دائم عن نمط خاص تجمع فيه خبرتها في الغناء الكلاسيكي الغربي والشرقي
