Good news, the First Circuit Court of Appeals held recording police is protected by the First Amendment. This IL law would be thrown out if the Seventh Circuit ruled similarly.

Having evidence against the police brutality is against the law. Police car record you without permission and that is legal. Where is superman when we need him most?

Uh, actually what the reporter did was a felony. The law doesn't say you can't play an audio recording, it says you cannot record audio without permission. Arrest him!
