Samuel did not drop an easy interception-- he jumped, and the ball went off his fingertips-- it was too high for him to intercept. Amazing all the people that equate this with a defender standing on the ground and dropping a ball right in his bread-basket. Equivalent for Buckner would be if he had to dive to his right-- and the ball deflected off his glove. Get over it Patriot fans-- the Giants were the better team, twice. (3 times if you count victory in Foxboro earlier this season.)

2 routine catches - Samuel that year...and Welker this year: And that's 5 SuperBowls in 10 years for the Patriots (mainly Brady & Belichick) Unbelievable.

that ball was out of his reach. it bounced off his fingertips

hmm It's hard to say, maybe It was a little to high but not impossible to come down with. It would have been an amaizng play If he made It, and he didn't and In the SB sometimes you have to make plays like that If you want to lift the trophie after the game ends.

@smooveXXX totally agree. And eli is crowned golden boy even though I don't think he deserves it.

@jhdh0723 He should've been crowned mvp for the giants though. It was an easy catch for him, and could've easily landed in bounds.
OK the ball was way hit off his fingertips which means it was TOO HIGH for him to catch and if he did he probably wuld have stepped out of bounds.. and if the patriots were undefeated and just that good they should have been able to stop the giants after that... Period. its not asante's fault that the patriots lost...

Sometimes I think destiny doesn't want my Patriots to make history!! 2 times and no go very frustrating!!!! They made the giants look good twice now and the sad thing everyone knows the Patriots should have won both SB 42 and 46 ;(
