Battlefield 1943 takes players back to WWII. The game offers endless hours of 24 player multiplayer action over three classic and tropic locations; Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. Delivering the award-winning through-the-gun and vehicle warfare online experience DICE is best recognized for, Battlefield 1943 will have players battling in ruthless aerial dog fights and intense trench combat. Players can see the game in action at New York Comic Con (Booth #1441) from February 6th-8th.

To clear things up: Yes, people still play and their are often full lobbies, Xbox Live manages an average of around 500-600 people online PS3 manages around 1000 people online

Is this game supposed to have generals flunging in from the air stealing tanks and kills all on our team IN our own base.GRRRR i hate this game ahahhaa.I love to set traps on them though

@filmfast Since I'm playing on the console version, it doesn't seem to be a big difference. I am getting a new PC from my Dad if I graduate with good grades. ( So far, I am.) But yeah BF3 was really good. The destruction is okay, but it's still better than nothing. The campaign has a scripted destruction I think. But over all, BF3 is a good game packing in a good campaign with a very good multiplayer. It is good on all platforms from what I've seen. Over all, just get it when you can.

@waddledee1000 As much as I'd like to agree with you, I can't seem to play BF3 (far too powerful for my machine). Hopefully be getting a quad-core soon enough. By the way, what's the destruction like in BF3 compared to BC2? I've heard a lot about it being less than expected, but, what do you think?

@filmfast They didn't make a PC version because they needed to focus on BF3. And look what came out, BF3. An an amazing game. And look at Infinity Ward's Call of Duty.....
