I love this song and was surprised to hear it at a Celtic Thunder concert in the fall. Neil Byrne did it justice. Both versions are wonderful.

There are no words to describe what this song means to me, but I'll try. Having recently split from the love of my life, I couldn't sleep, and listened to Art Bell all night. They, at that time would play this as filler. Took me a year to find out who did it, but I got it and it was the paramount song I put on a CD for her, trying to express my love. A beauty Hal

10 years ago this thursday my fiance' changed her mind. I've never gotten over her, and like "jillyhawk", this song "busts my soul wide open". Sometimes I wish I'd never heard it... On the other hand, without songs like this, there would be no way to express what we feel... Thank you Mick, thank you Hal.
