General elections in UK - David Miliband (Labour) interview

There is not long to go now until the UK election on 6 May and the battle is heating up. This is being described as the closest race in years. Latest opinion polls suggest that neither the incumbent Labour government nor the Conservative opposition are going to get the absolute majority they need to govern the country, and they may have to search around for some kind of coalition partner. So what are the chances of Labour getting re-elected? euronews reporter Seamus Kearney spoke to British Foreign Secretary David Miliband.

So much misinformation and inaccuracy. The Reagans bloated the national debt through increased military spending while Mulroney of the PCs failed to reduce the structural deficit before the Liberals came in. Of course the Liberals did it with the help of GST implemented by Mulroney and turned the deficit into a surplus by late 90s. Clinton also started the New Democrat by drastically reducing social spending and bringing about the first surplus in US since God knew how long.

@JBBlitz Oh, right, I just was looking at some of my friend's thoughts on the Liberals in Canada and he was saying how the Liberals had always done the country good (he's 64 lol) But i'm a Conservative all the way. Ms Harman (acting Labour Leader) thinks she has all the right ideas about the Economy, but Labour never have the right idea.

@simpleasLiam , i have lived in USA and Canada and the liberals are threat in both countries. times of debt were caused by liberals in both countries. i hate their spread the wealth crap and affirmative action policies in education. Conservatives in Canada have always recovered the economy by cutting and saving. in USA republicans have cut and saved and recovered economy that way. i think liberals are dangerous in every country due to their higher taxes and reckless spending habbits.

@JBBlitz LOL people in Britain can see that the Liberals Democrats would ruin us. I mean look now, Vince Cable is going screw our University system, saying its fairer but hiding all the hidden costs. He even admitted that his caution about VAT was just for point scoring -- which they didn't EVEN succeed at doing. The Liberals are a dangerous party in every country except Canada and Japan.
