On September 12, 2009, the Nashville Symphony is joined by key roots/Americana musicians in a celebration of the influence of folk music on American classical music. Here, mandolinist Sam Bush and banjo innovator Alison Brown describe what's in store. Lineup feature Buddy Miller, Abigail Washburn, David "Honeyboy" Edwards, Karen Parks and more. Works by Ives, Copland, Gershwin and others. This video we made for the symphony can also be found on the symphony website: www.nashvillesympony.org.
