Not too many know of this song. I paints one of the best stories of JB's writing. Living here in the Dominican and having traveled to Haiti, I can fully understand this song...even before I arrived here.

@vienemo Thanks for checking out my videos! Yes, it is one of my favorite Buffett tunes and I love the storytelling aspect as well. Have you heard of Robert Earl Keen? A fantastic storyteller in his own right. But NONE can surpass the master..Mr Gamble Rogers for whom which Jimmy use to open up for in his younger days. A few times right here in beautiful St Augustine Fla as well! Gamble died here in '93 trying to save a man from drowning..Jimmy speaks of it on the sleeve of his "Fruitcakes" CD.
