Well at least you're not using an El Gato product to essentially make your Mac a DVR. That piece of crap company (I have the Hybrid) and our guide is always screwing up so that you constantly run out of guide data without noticification (and thus miss recordings) and the iPhone app works like crap. The day after I got it, the guide stopped pulling schedules!

Word to the wise: never buy a piece of hardware from El Gato if you actually WANT to watch TV because it ain't gonna happen.

when working in final cut does it cut down rendering speeds? also after you are done exporting do you just use the standard upload button on youtube to upload? and is that any faster?

I have it, it works a charm, really fast

I use it a lot to convert avchd camera files and prorez files, no problem at all, i never had problems with audio out of sync and stuff.

Quality is the only prob, If i'm not in a hurry is much better to use handbrake or streamclip for best result.

I should probably get this. I shoot COD videos and such on my other channel (PS3xFPShooters), and it took roughly 5 hours to import all the videos I needed for my montage. Talk about slow.
