oooo I loves this place & my grandmom lives on this road it's also where I used to live then we moved after the hurrican (about 2 years after & not because of it)

Scenic Hwy used to be thick with trees.But
since Ivan,it is wide open.I remember there
used to be several nice cottages along Scenic
Hwy,but they were demolished.There used to be
large old house with a palm tree in the front
yard on Scenic Hwy.The Baars family used to own that house.But it was demolished,just to build a subdivision.Where was the Pensacola Historical Society at that time to save it?

Had several friends from St. Michaels elemantary/middle school that lived off scenic highway...My best friend Michael Dye who lived on Reynosa drive being the most notable.

I lived on scenic hwy for 3 years in Colony House Apt's right across street from store and near Skopelos. God I miss it!!!!!!!!!

I lived in Pace and drove Scenic Hwy. every day when I worked in downtown Pensacola. After Ivan, I cried when I last drove this stretch of road. The destruction to the homes and I-10 was unreal. Thanks for posting this video. It briefly took me back home. : )
