Over the past decade much of Dr. Richard Jackson's work has focused on how the 'built environment' including how architecture and urban planning affect health. He recently served on the Board of Directors of the American Institute of Architects and has written and spoken extensively in the above areas. Currently, Dr. Jackson has been working on policy analyses of environmental impacts on health ranging from toxicology, chemical body burdens, terrorism, sustainability, climate change, urban design and architecture. What greater than that? Dr. Jackson is coming to San Luis Obispo to advise the public, its city planners and policy makers on how we can enhance the environment around us even better to maximize our health as a community. The event is being held at the Spanos Theatre at Cal Poly May 18th from 3pm - 5pm. The event is free so come, get informed and make your community a healthier one!
