@ RodrigueMoore - the bible is without heros. Even Jesus, the only hero, was made a non-hero on the cross to become our hero. That being said, the bible is riddled with screwups that God used in SPITE of them, only because they were receptive & willing in spite of the B.S. they struggled with continuously. Ironically, this speaks to the authenticity of God moving through them because CLEARLY it was never these eff'd up human individuals in the first place.

Just to think at the time, I was completely unaware of ALL THIS. I was living my own life, in South Africa; having my own personal experience of this Jesus Christ; who came to our planet over 2000 years ago. I have since discovered that it was not localized, but it was the powerful media propoganda machine, that made it look like it was only happening in America. A gay man preaching Christianity is like having a Jew preaching Nazism. Lonnie Frisbee got into drugs due to homophobia and lies spread by Christianity, then he embraced the very religion that spread the homophobia in the first damn place. I don't understand why gay men often have such low self esteem that they embrace the very evil that causes them such pain. Christianity has more in common with the Pharisees than Jesus. It's horrible that Frisbee died, better dead than a hypochristian.

I think this is universally understood at this point, and its presumed when someone asks if someone "died of aids"

No. NOBODY dies from AIDS. AIDS is a retrovirus that damages the immune system. People die from the opportunistic infections that attack a body with a weakened immune system.
