Burmese Market: Kaingdan Zay Revisited 2008

The hustle and bustle of this very busy street market near the city's central market Zegyo in Mandalay, Myanmar, mainly stems from its bountiful farm produce on display for both retail and wholesale including a whole range of fruit and veg in season such as plums from the size of a cherry to that of an apple, Mexican turnips and roselle, specially cultivated roots of the toddy palm and the winged bean as well as savoury sticky rice cakes or the same cooked in bamboo tubes.
