donburi is like ummm how you say sause that you put on top of your rice. its usually filled with all sorts of crap that for some reason really taste good together. this commercial is about the sause in a vacume pack where you could just microwave and put it on top of your rice.

Actually, I've had this before. The way you make it is to boil some water, and stick the packet into the boiling water for, like, five minutes.

Did this "instant" mix taste good when you tried it? How did it compare to a restaurant version (if you've ever had it in a restaurant)?

Unless you're a poor, lazy college student, like me, I wouldn't recommend getting it. Donburi from a restaurant? Amazing. I'll put it this way. I had the instant kind for, like, a month straight, because I'm lazy, and for a month after, I couldn't eat -any- donburi, even from a restaurant. However, if it's homemade or restaurant-style, I do highly recommend proper donburi.
