In this video Tim Nixon, Karla Wallace and Mike Grimes from GM, as well as John Schneider from Ford, discuss the future evolution of the connected car. The younger generation's demand for onboard connectivity and entertainment is making "always connected" an imperative. The need for fuel efficiency and emissions reduction creates a demand for sustainable vehicles with improved engine and emissions systems, hybrids, electric vehicles and electrification of subsystems such as brakes and heating. The need to minimize the cost and human impact of traffic fatalities globally is mandating new, cost-effective safety technologies.
