Steve, great recipe!
What do you think about adding some blanched or quickly steamed asperagus tops near the end of the soup cook time? Too many conflicting flavors? Or a good addition? Obviously asperagus makes it's own great cream soup, I just don't know if it would add too or take away from what seems to me to be the best cream mushroom soup recipe I've seen!

@coniff3 Good question brian... mushroom & asparagus go great together....nice little combo especially the blanched tips at the end....if anything it would add more flavor.....thanks for your comment buddy..and thanks for watching :)
