I love the old back - lit animation. Robert Abel and his Associates were geniuses. Throw in Listberger, and
you have a deadly mix.

Incredible! I remember this as a kid. It's hard to believe this was all done without computers!

If I saw that on the air today I'd say what a great ad.

Amazing in every way. Would love to see more ads like this today. Agree that Pepsi's Throwback commercial looks like an homage to this one, with the volume turned up.

Doing stuff like this back in the mid-1970s without computers was HUGELY difficult. It took a tremendous amount of work.

This was all photography tricks actually, NO computers. Although computer animation was just getting its start around this time (with Scanimate, which was more of an analog video synthesizer) this wasn't created using such a system. Therefore, I've always been astounded at what Robert Abel and Associates were able to pull off with what they had. That's talent.

softsignals, that wasnt computer graphics like you know of it today: This was hardware. Check public access channels, thats where all this old stuff is. You can use it free if you take classes.

batterymaker: You came here from a link and repeated what the article said.
