Taiwan HSR Passing Hsinchu at 270km/h. The 700T runs on the Taiwan High Speed Rail, connecting Taipei and Kaohsiung/Chuoying. Capable of a top speed of 300km/h, the 700T, a modified version of the JR's 700Series built in Japan is one of the leading High Speed Rail trains in service today.

  • Oh, it's just an estimate. I took the train back to TPE from Zuoying once and it was at 270km/h at Hsinchu...

    a 300m Train passed in 3.6 sec.

  • how can you be certain that it is passing at 270? and not 300?

  • I ride the THSR from Hsinchu to Taipei and back twice a week these days. ;)
