  • I have sent my tools to fix pixel errors. When I add-backs instrument so I can not get the car to start. something wrong with engine immobilizer, someone knows how I solve the problem. Have not had problems with engine immobilizer before.

  • @Predeka

i would suggest resetting the Engine Diagnostic System. When I replaced the unit, everything started ok but the Check Engine light was on because the system "saw" a new cluster - or perhaps had a problem because i actually drove the car while the panel was out (not recommended but it worked). If you sent it to BBA they can probably help as well.

  • Thanks man great vid! Can you share the cost and the time it took for BBA to do the repair.

  • @DennyBryant

The rebuild was $320 plus shipping. Took about 15 minutes to take the cluster out and the same to put it in. 2 screws, 3 plugs, and 1 clip on cover panel. pretty simple overall. You may have to reset the check engine light because the system may see a new device plugged in but thats no big deal.

either way contact someone in your country that will do the repairs for you as it will start to lead to toher faults in your dsah BBA Reman are good, i live in the UK & used "Cluster repairs UK"

  • @Niercaaa Pay $800 for a new one & the pay to have immobiliser recoded & keys recoded, you dummy. it's far from a rip off idiot !!

I had mine done in the UK for £180 & worked fine. some people just dont know jack shit !!

  • @mlr1844 $320???? A rip off mate.

  • You really make great videos. I guess things fall apart in the Audis very frequently

  • @mlr1844 How would you reset the Engine Diagnostic System? Also i noticed that the fuel marker didn't really move i have this with my Audi A4 and it won't mark how much fuel i have. Any suggestions??

  • Nice vid, thank you! But how could you drove it without the cluster, what about the immobiliser?

  • have a look on my cluster problem. any ideas?

  • In my A4 (yes I also drove it w/o the cluster) after a few days the check engine light turned off by itself. No need to reset anything. The company that did my repair told me that about 50% of them are part of the immobilizer circuit and therefore you cannot put a different one in without reprogramming things. However, I pulled mine, locked, unlocked, and started the car without any problems.
