Surprise visit of a Cape Cobra - one of the most dangerous snakes in Africa - to my Studio... making herself comfortable 80 cm away from me. She refused to go back into the garden and disappeared first under the couch, then in the cupboard. With some major constructions to guide her back out and lots of patience, she was eventually persuaded to leave... but instead of heading for the garden, she shot towards a building site! But she's back home - this is her territory, about 7 km of it :) The cobra strikes fast and her venom is fatal if not treated in time.

Due to the dangerous situation, my photos are not perfect - which may be excused under the circumstances LOL
