  • This person is an IDIOT. You are supposed to use both of your brakes in conjunction with one another. Your front brake is where most of your stopping power is. The key is brake control and modulation; Only applying enough braking force to keep you at a controlled descent without locking and skidding. I hope I'm there when she's going down an incline with the ass end of her bike dragging sideways behind her right off a cliff!

  • Pure new beginners should start with only using the back brake until they get the hang of it. I think this video is good for a totally new mtn biker.

  • Your front brake is more important than the rear. Modulation is the key. She is using personal preference. At least she has good communication skills....
