Psilocybe cyanescens - October 1 2011 - West Coast Magic Mushrooms

These are a common sight on the west coast. I especially like the way they look in my flower bed.

Are those cyans growing out of mulch or what is it doesnt seem to be directly out of woodchips.

Nice, what were the temps at the time of fruiting?

@jerryk2198 the temp has only been down to around 7C. Typically these will not fruit until the temp hits around 4C. These have received a lot of moisture however from my irrigation system. I think that has been a huge part of it. Also, the humidity has been around 90% for weeks here.

I found loads of these this year too but I wasnt sure how safe they were, all I knew at the time were liberty caps(Psilocybe semilanceata) so I played it safe..haha theres always next year ;)
