oh i misread the chinese character as green, the chinese pronounciation should be yuan? meaning fate?

I think you are correct. Chinese pronunciation is" Yuan". Korean it is "Yeon". and Japanese it is" En". The pronunciation (縁) changed in each country in East Asia. I understand meaning." fate" very well. Chinese characters like 縁est. came from China and Korea to Japan and then, they took long time and changed. (^_^)
