While line noise is always a possibility, Embarq uses that possibility to overshadow the fact that their data signal is inconsistent crap, their whole system in general is iffy at best, and their DSL modems and filters are garbage. During my less than enjoyable time using their service, I showed a lot of patience with them and their BS, but eventually got fed up and dropped them. They're just another example of a money hungry mega corporation who sacrifices quality for a quick profit.

Question, how do I test which wire my phone line is come from. For example, my phone jack got ripped out of the wall and when i look at the wires, there are TONS of different wires coming out. There are many different white, blue, red, orange etc wires. I want to find out which are the correct to connect back to the jack. Is there a simple way I can test this. How do i test if the connection is actually and what should i hear...thanks . :)
