(Nov. 22, 2009) The videos were clipped from the last 8 racks in the final at the 2009 Women's World 9-Ball Championship, Liu Shasha of China vs. Karen Corr of Northern Ireland. Surprisingly, the pool world has a new world champion, and she is only 16 years old. Liu defeated Karen Corr 9-5 and set her career in motion in grand style. During the final, Liu started horribly and went down 5-1. After winning her second game to make the score 5-2, the Chinese girl then broke and ran five racks in a row to lead 7-5 only ending that streak with a scratch on the break. Despite the scratch, she broke and ran again on the final rack to claim the title. Now Liu Shasha holds 3 records: youngest world champion, first qualifier who became world champion, and first player who made her debut in the World Championship dominating in an undefeated win.
