Revisit: Wow! A song like this comes in a lifetime, but leaves an unforgettable imprint in one's heart. Ages ago I heard this melody. I underdstand the movie was from 1956. Rafi's heavenly voice, the wonderful tabla drum beats and Shankar Jaikishen's superb composition! In those days SJ's orchestra was lighter, and was sweeter for that. Thanks, Kitabik ji.

Agree to both the thoughts. And Rafi velvet alaap! Lata's "Sapane mein sajanse do baate ek yaad rahi ek bhul gaye" fr Gateway of India is another such song. I wish I could find that song..... Nandu1f

It definitely is! I have to say I was surprised to hear it was S&J. You think of all the Shammi Kapoor jumpy songs, but this one shows you they can just as easily compose pure melodies. Excellent!
