I'm betting you have never created a job in your life . That said it's too bad you cant even grasp the concept . People like you want to burn fossil fuels at your home and in your car but you don't want other people to have them or use them . There is a name for people like you .

@imN0Ttheone They most certainly can, and they should if it suits them. But Canada will always have a wealth of resources, and companies will always want to get their hands on them. For our government to single out any one of them and give them an advantage (in this case by lobbying for them with taxpayer money) is wrong. If you are worried about our economy, maybe you should be a little concerned that we have accelerated our extraction of resources, while going deeper into debt.

OR, we can start getting away from oil, as the price for oil is far too high, and I'm not talking at the pumps, but all the wars waged in the name of freedom. I'd like to see e85 ethanol at the pumps, I'd like to see hydrogen, more electric. I'd like to see a synthetic replace the petrol in e85. Why is it America has some 3000 e85 pumps nation wide, and we have 2. wtf?

Because Canadian resources will always be extracted from Canada, these companies will always be here just the same. The point I am trying to make is that it is not our government's job to spend our money so that these companies can make even more money than they already do.

I do not think that it is ok for public money being used for private gain. Why are Canadian taxpayers bribing American policy makers in order for private industries to make money? Those industries have enough money to bribe the Americans themselves, people we need to start paying attention to the meaning behind what our politicians are saying.
