For the opening would it still sound good with rootless cords? Or do you need the root for a bolder tone?

By playing a E -7 with a '4', you're changing the orginal chord Eø7 to a C7 with extensions 9 and 13 (playing roots, 3rd and 7th)

@7notemode I mean C is altered and B is natural. Are them played in one chord purposely or is it accidentally?

@fedalxis maybe C is a -13, i.e. E7 -9 -13 ...Naming is tough because I don't think that way in real time when playing.

A great tutorial, and some of the best playing I have seen on Youtube, would it be possible for you to post a tutorial for "I wish I knew how it would feel" by Billy Taylor. I cant find one anywhere, I think you would be the best person to do it justice. Thanks
