This is a run through of Georgia that is similar to the video post of Georgia that I posted previously. I focused on a few foundational techniques as well as some practical left hand voicings for quarter note self accompaniment. Do not worry if you can't hit 9th or 10ths You can roll the notes and it will sound fine. I hope you find this in some way helpful.

  • A great tutorial, and some of the best playing I have seen on Youtube, would it be possible for you to post a tutorial for "I wish I knew how it would feel" by Billy Taylor. I cant find one anywhere, I think you would be the best person to do it justice. Thanks

  • @geordie18333 Thanks. You know, I've never played that song, although I really like it.

  • oh you are a perfect teacher! I hope my teacher was as good as you!

  • @taneli2288 Hey thanks!

  • For the opening would it still sound good with rootless cords? Or do you need the root for a bolder tone?

  • By playing a E -7 with a '4', you're changing the orginal chord Eø7 to a C7 with extensions 9 and 13 (playing roots, 3rd and 7th)

  • @fedalxis On purpose. I like the color notes in it. :-)

  • @7notemode I mean C is altered and B is natural. Are them played in one chord purposely or is it accidentally?

  • @fedalxis maybe C is a -13, i.e. E7 -9 -13 ...Naming is tough because I don't think that way in real time when playing.

  • 14:06 E7alt includes B in LH and C in RH at the same time?
