http://www.pip.net.au/ Provence, a land of Roman heritage, famed for its tourism appeal, but in particular, for its wine, Chateau Neuf du Pape, which is made from vines which grow in vineyards of enormous rocky pebbles. A visit to the town of the Popes, its castle, and on to a family style vineyard which has created markets all around the world, Le Grand Cros, a highly successful winemaker, originally from North America, who produces Rosé with body and appeal to red wine enthusiasts. Wine and truffles from the Mont Ventoux district and a traditional recipe of beef marinated in red wine, Daube Provincal. Also an excursion into Roman wines, made today as they were in the 1st Century after the birth of Christ.
