Canada: Prime Minister Stephen Harper says, "Islamicism is biggest threat to national security."

In an exclusive interview with CBC News, Prime Minister Stephen Harper says the biggest security threat to Canada a decade after 9/11 is Islamic terrorism.

In a wide-ranging interview with CBC chief correspondent Peter Mansbridge that will air in its entirety on The National Thursday night, Harper says Canada is safer than it was on Sept. 11, 2001, when al-Qaeda attacked the U.S., but that "the major threat is still Islamicism."

I m a muslim imigrant from Pak. I welcome the PM Harper’s statmt. There is diffrce btwn ISLAM and Islamism. Later is a poltcal, imperialistic ideology, hell-bent upon destroying ‘Kafirs & their countries. If someone espouses such a subversive ideology that is subverting the Canadian Constitution and committing high treason & equal to declaring war on Canada. I see no distinction between Islam and 'Islamicism'. Islam is inherently violent and advocates wholesale slaughter. Let's not pretend Islam is some friendly, charitable ideology. Just look at what it has done in the Middle East. We shouldn't be bringing it here.
