@cybermental if the soil is too compact the roots cannot grow...more perlite would allow more airflow throught the soil...easier root growth... could also be linked too overwatering and not letting the soil properly dry out between watering....if the soil is too wet roots cannot grow well...... you want your medium too be fluffy like chocalate cake!
Hey brother, a big fan of your youtube channel, lots of love bro, I would try using a rootzone accelerator even at early vege stage of growth ... H&G roots excelurator is literally the best in the market and will give you fucking massive rootzones .... just a thought, keep it green - PEACE.
You might have packed the soil too tight into the pot causing the roots to only grow at the top of the pot where the soil is less packed and thus has more oxygen.
