This is the way we make our Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Although its not from scratch, we are working on mastering this recipe so its 100% our own.
You need:
Cake:
1 box butter cake mix
3 large eggs
1 stick softened butter
3/4 cup pineapple juice
Fruit:
20 oz. can sliced pineapple
Maraschino Cherries (without stems)
Caramel Topping:
1 stick butter
1 cup packed golden brown sugar

    Yes, the pineapple juice is optional, you can use water instead.

  • we made this and my daughters friends love me now...LOL The only thing i added was lil sour cream for fluffyness.

    Sorry for the delay! But no, wax paper is normally used for wrapping raw meats up, like what a butcher use's when you buy meat. Parchment paper contains no wax which makes it oven and heat safe.

  • i think im gonna use pineapple cubes that have been put into cherry juice and not use cherries, do u think this will be a good alternative? I like pineapple cubes and dont like cherries...just the juice
