@whtdogears actually that's "jumping the band wagon." Posing is when someone acts like something else they are not, which by definition makes it a very vague term. the term pose means to be a certain way. who's to say you are not what you are showing yourself to be and just don't look the part? Poser is not a real word, just something teenagers came up with to divide into groups and to pretend they are different and superior from one another. all bullshi*.

People need to learn that anyone who genuinely enjoys a band for their sound isn't a poser, no matter when or where they heard them first, because you can't control that. A poser is someone who claims to like them because they are recently popular or simply cuz they like their look and illegitimate junk like that :P
