Although the near-solitary dancer inadvertently highlights an underlying issue here: barely any other Kiwis getting into it and dancing, while one of NZs greatest bands essays a riveting development on their back catalogue. Sheesh! Just forty punters up front, almost motionless, and everyone else about a hundred feet back, barely involved no change to the passionless people since I left by the looks of things
Thanks for the posting! Making me homesick watching this in near-winter UK. Great to see the Bats out on tour or at least on engagement, and a top interpretation / reworking of the classic to keep it fresh too, great to have it captured, and well done on the sound too, thanks again. Congrats too on capturing the dapper dude dancing like its 1982 at the Gluepot: magic stuff, and please tell me who he is so I can hang out with him at gigs when I get back...
one of the greatest pop hits in Kiwi music history and all those people standing like statues - have they no soul? Great sound thx!
