A short time ago I watched again some vids where Mr. Hisaishi himself played on a piano and it inspired me again so much that I decided to record a further piece of him. I mean he's not only a great composer and conductor, but also a great pianist!
It is a original piano solo composition by him and like all his compositions such a lovely piece!

Enjoy!

  • This version is even better than the one played by Hisaishi; I think it's mostly because you played it a bit slower and with more emotion.

Now that you returned to play Hisaishi's pieces, could you please play Cinema Nostalgia?

Oh, thank you very much! I never listened to the original, lol, mainly because not to influence me in any way (I wanted to keep my own interpretation), but interesting to know ;) And oh yes, "Cinema Nostalgia" is since a long time on my "recording list", lol, but it is really really not an easy piece (to play completely without mistakes), but I'll definitively try it soon when I've a good day :)

  • my opinion is, very very neat; good elaboration from the original melody itself.

Relaxation? I would still turn to Mr. Hisaishi's version, like riding on a winding scenic route along the coast, if you know what i mean.

Not trying to critize you, you did very great. Everyone has their own taste of music.

  • Ryojou is the name of the song, right?

Nice cover of it, beautifully played. :D

  • please, what program did u use to record this? T__T so good !

  • This sounds really familiar, was it in a movie?

  • The sound of your piano is stunning, I never fail to notice that. This is beautiful. The beauty of Joe Hisaishi's compositions lie in the fact that one song consists of many emotions. What I mean is a happy sounding piece some times has a pensive/gloomy interlude or a sad piece might have a hint of happiness in it.

  • can u pleSE tell me how you got the erroll garner sheets? or do a synthesia tutorial>? thanks

  • You're so good at piano!! Like, almost as good as Joe Hisaishi playing it! But please do some more tutorials :D

  • Very nice ! Bravo !
