  • That has a very small vignette effect. The way i learned was totally different.

But for all those searching vignette effect out there are looking for the one with a blacker background.

    Thanks anyways

  • @Gangstarasp1 Thanks for the info! I might post a follow up video to this one later on to show how to make it darker and also give it a cross-process look since I have learned a lot more in the past 5 months since this video was created!

  • That's not vignetting.

  • @jggrn I would suggest you do some research before you comment on videos so you do not look really bad for being wrong...Look up "vignette photo" in google and you will find out that you saturate the edges out and soften them. Yes, there are many types of vignette that you can do with text and other things, but this video is about doing it with photos.

  • Dude you rock!! Thanks

  • Oh dear--- typos galore!! Sorry :)

  • DOn't care if it's a vignette or note -- really cool technique for non-destructive lightening and darkening! Thanks! (It's saved to my Graphics Playlist so I don't lose it :))

  • Dylan, you're going way too fast. Hard to follow. Great info though, just a little bit fast as you're trying to do things while listening in the background..

  • but the Mac doesnt have a delete key? what are you using for the delete key? if i do command backspace it goes white not black.....

  • excellent tutorial... thank you.

  • i did this, i think i am doing something wrong because i can see my picture when i click on it like did around 1:25 to make it lighter and on yours i cant see the baby photo through it ahh help lol

  • Ctrl + Delete for a PC instead of Command + Delete for a MAC. Also great job on a super easy Vignette effect!

  • hmm lame.

  • ALT + backspace is the command to fill using a PC
