  • Center differential locks rule. They turn your drivetrain into a tank. Got through 5ft snow with it, no problem!

  • @EvenSteven2004 so what exactly does the locking center differential do? cuz thats all i gots on my 4runner

  • @tundralover, the difference is that a locking center differential will split the power 50% to the front and 50% to the rear. A locking rear differential splits the power 50% to each rear wheel. Both are great to have, but all 4Runners of that body style have a locking center differential. And the last year of that body style (which was 2009), Toyota offered a Trail Edition that also had a locking rear differential in addition to the locking center differential.

  • @EvenSteven2004 im only 16 so please dont call me stupid or nothing but i was wondering what is the difference

  • If that 4Runner is stock, it does not have a locking rear differential. It does have a center locking differential, however. I have the same exact 4Runner.
