Renetto for President 2008: Puppetry 101 Part II

Recently I posted a video on how to make a potato head puppet. One of the first who responded accused me of being a racist! This is a false accusation obviously made by someone who is bringing their own racist interpretation to my work and trying to spoil this form of harmless puppetry for everyone.

In response I will show everyone that it is foolish and idiotic to suggest that a potato head puppet is racist. How will I do this? Let me show you.

Take a potato, an Idaho potato which is obviously "white" and make it into a Renetto character. I'm sure everyone on YouTube will agree that Renetto is NOT black. In fact Renetto has spoken out on the race issue on YouTube asking "Why are not their more black people on YouTube?"

To make a Renetto potato head, take an Idaho potato and cover it with pure white cloth, paper towel or plastic. If you prefer you can peel the potato or paint it white with acrylic paint. I plan to eat this potato later so will just cover it with paper towel and use a twist'em to secure it. For a handle I'll use a piece of coathanger wire stuck into the potato.

To make Renetto's eyeglasses again I've use a black twist'em. This is stuck into a piece of clay used to make Renetto's nose. Also a piece of clay is used to make Renetto's lips (they will be photo enhanced later to ad a red hue). Now, please don't tell me these lips look like those of a black person because they are "too big." I've seen Renetto's lips and he has big lips! But I assure you Renetto is NOT a black person!

Now to finish off the Renetto potato head puppet I've drapped him in an American flag. I may use this to make a Renetto For President 2008 design which everyone on YouTube can buy. Yes, I will make a small commission if you buy Renetto potato head designs and promote Renetto for President in 2008. Anyone can run for President in cyberspace, even a potato head puppet of Renetto! So YouTubers let's draft Renetto for President in 2008! This could be great fun!

So folks that is how to make a Renetto potato head puppet. This is proof positive that pototo head puppets are NOT racist. You can't get much more "white" than Renetto -- well, maybe you can, but I think Renetto makes a good parody, one that all YouTuber will understand is NOT "black" and serves as a great way to prove that anyone who thinks potato head puppets are racist is bringing their own dark heart, intolerance, negativity and prejudice to the interpretation of puppetry and art.

Yes, lets elect Renetto the potato head President in 2008! President of what ... I'm not saying. This can mean anything you want it to mean. You can vote "Yes" by getting Renetto Pototo Heat For President 2008 gifts and apparel and making a video reply showing off these great parody designs! Certainly Renetto could do a better job than those other potato heads, Bush/Cheaney!
