Chris Mathews HARDBALLS Protester who had a Gun @ Obama Town Hall

"You're carrying a god damned gun at a Presidential event," Matthews says to protester William Kostric, appearing on "Hardball" to explain why he carried a gun to a health care town hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire hosted by President Obama. He said he wanted "to be heard" and wanted everyone to be aware of the rights we are losing.

Matthews chides Kostric for bringing a loaded gun to an event where the President would be. "A firearm is a defensive tool," Kostric says. "Who would be silly enough to carry an unarmed firearm?" It is legal to carry guns in New Hampshire.

He concludes that it would have been a safer crowd if everyone at the town hall carried guns.

Also, he said Obama is "a great speaker" and that he voted for Ron Paul.

New Hampshire Vermont and PA...(all states where you are allowed to open carry a firearm with no permit) have the nations lowest Gun related deaths? The highest happen to be in areas where guns are 100% prohibited such as Washington dc... do your research.

Let me get this straight. Carrying a loaded gun to a Presidential event, and a sign that refers to assassinations of elected leaders… on top of this nut, who has NO CLUE that the association of these two "clearly visible" props would lead ANY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER to scream, "PUT THE GOD-DAMNED GUN DOWN…" somehow doesn't manufacture the brain-power of a Teahead to think… "Duh, maybe this isn't such a good idea?" Personally, if I went to a public rally and saw some NUT with a loaded gun on him... I would LEAVE. The world is crazy enough without worrying WHAT this guy is going to do.
