I thought sport stock was open to any modification under stock rpm, and run cut or bar tire.

@IHMan1066 From the Prairie Pullers Des Moines rules: No RPM limit for this class. 1.200 carb size. No air entering after 1.200 restriction. Flathead Singles 38.5 cubic inches, Flathead twins 45 cubic inches and V-twins 38.5. Billet Head allowed on flatheads only, V-Twins must have OEM heads. Must have factory head bolt pattern. No reverse port engines allowed.

why do some of them throw their hands up when the get stopped?

@shaunk132 that is a signal that the driver uses to show they have the tractor gearshift in neutral so it is safe to unhook the chain
