Social changes are gradual. India is more or less a new democracy. But we already have presidents from Dalits( the untouchables), Muslims ( the minority) and now from women( the oppressed). It is a strong indication that things are changing. Look USA for example, another big and older democracy in the world. Look how long it took them to have a president from minority. Thank gods they have one now.

Things have been changing..and changed a lot, a lot. If you are a member of a lower cast, you will have reservations in all schools and universities and in Govt. jobs. In my state a large portion of govt. jobs and higher post in many govt. departments are enjoyed by the so called lower cast members, mainly because of reservation. We, Indians already had a President K R Narayanan, who comes from a Dalit cast, the so called untouchables

Both of those families treated me well. Both of those families did not treat me as a lower or higher cast person, but just as a friend. That is the general trend about casts in part of India I come from. Coming from that background, I strongly disagree with the generalized and exaggerated comments in the video. I know cast plays a big role in social behavior in many places, in many places, in many states. But not in all places, not in all states.

Caste system is an evil system and it should be uprooted. Indians will achieve that. I am from the Varna called Soodra, the lowest of the four Varnas. There are a myriad of casts in India, Im not sure abt the system in Hinduism in other countries like Napal. I have friends from Brahmin cast, the so called highest cast and from some lowest casts, the so called Dalit.

Amazing how the higher caste indians living in the western world cry racism while still believing they are superior from birth over others. The caste system must be outlawed in the west to humble these liers and hipocrites.
