The democratic party we know today was NOT the Dem party of yesteryear. In those days, it was filled with right-leaning southern conservatives who wanted to keep their racist slave mongering way of life alive. That's who started the KKK. The parties have evolved greatly. Nowadays, Dems are known for being liberal, intelligent, and open-minded, while the Republicans have become the opposite of what they once were and are close-minded, intolerant, selfish, and mean.

This guy is nuts! Can you not see how he has twisted the truth? This guy doesn't even believe in evolution! The right wing (at one point it was the democrats and now it is the republicans) has always tried to centralize their power. This consists of keeping minorities down, and using religion to pacify the pathetic and ignorant.

If slavery were the issue, it is amazing how blacks and folks concerned about humanitarian values are drawn to their oppressors. Maybe it's a Stockholm syndrome in mass application. Straight party Democrat voting is almost as appalling as affections for all things MUSLIM. In the history of the slave trade, ISLAM was responsible for slavery in Africa. The overwhelming majority of captured slaves were caught and sold within the Uma!

Thanks David Barton. The people that say things against you have no case. You can't argue with the original documents that you have in your possession. The only revisionists are those that have tried to twist history in the recent past. They need to go to the source as you have. Again, you can't argue with the founding fathers own statements about their faith in God. You're right, people like to quote 3 founding fathers and they ignore the 180 (or so) others.
