If you've seen our InSight iris recognition system in action, you know that it is fast, easy-to-use, and highly accurate. What you might not know is that it is that is also very easy to integrate with a wide variety of software platforms. The InSight is a network appliance: It uses SOAP (an open standard for web services) over PKI-encrypted HTTPS for its main communications interface. SOAP is platform independent, and can be integrated with Java, .NET, and Objective-C, amongst other programming environments.
In this video, we show the InSight VM iris recognition system working with an Apple iPad. The application controlling the InSight is running in Safari, a benefit of our web services-based communication protocol. We have really been enjoying using the iPad with the InSight -- on one side, we like demonstrating platform independence and communications interoperability, and on the other side, the iPad's beautiful screen does a great job of showing off our "always centered, always focused" iris images.
