  • So much for political rhetoric: promise the moon and give them the shaft. Politicians always promise things they haven't got.

  • Magnificent presentation, incredible color, fine music and the ethereal beauty of Ms. Gene Tierney! Thank you so much!

  • I believe Gene had some of the most beautiful eyes that I have ever seen. She was just soooo beautiful!! Love this video.

Oh, if she were only alive today.

  • @HAPPYTHELEAF

BTW I recall hearing a lecture in which the speaker had high praise for the democratic nature of communities in Ireland a long time ago.

  • @shanghaibenny2 Both. It should be government of the people by the people and that this is what is lacking, power is in a strangle hold of big business. It amazed me how Reagan made out how much he hated the communists and yet did unbelievable long term damage to American and ultimately western industries (Jobs) by collusion with Chinese communists so much so the the Chinese communist system is now banker to the West only because the Chinese people are exploited . Yes 1 elite 4 another sadly..

  • @HAPPYTHELEAF

Is the problem capitalism, so-called democracy, or both in combination? I am not a Marxist, but he wrote, 'it (democracy) will only survive until its citizens discover they can vote themselves money from the treasury, then they will bankrupt it.' Oligarchy is the most common form of government in world history; no dictator can make it on his own. If there is a change, most likely, we will be trading one elite for another. No country is a democracy anyway, they are all republics.

  • @shanghaibenny2 I hear you, it's maddening to see the way in which, in a so called democracy in the west at least , we have come so low, democracy has become a fallacy a mockery of it's true sense, capitalism is destined to destroy us Culturally, Politically, Racially and FInancially as it is unsustainable in it's current state, we have gone to far the fuse has been ignited, and this is why we hanker for what was and fear what will be all continuity has been lost we are just a rock in space...

  • @tickledpink2U Apparently Spencer is supposed to have commented that Genes' beauty was never truly captured by the camera.

  • @gnsback

You last sentence is so true. These works of art are the heirlooms of a once great culture. Will we ever reach these heights again?

  • Hi, S.Benny. As I'm just now getting to see this new clip I say what a reward it is. Been so busy I had not seen it.These are exceptionally clear stills, again very good work and thank you. I just watched The Iron Curtain with Gene and Dana Andrews again after getting it other day and immediately viewing it as soon as I opened it, and I'd like to get this Plymouth Adventure and more of her other films. As society drifts downward these films become even more uplifting and priceless.
