Marco Rubio agreed to the terms of the debate (a 15 minute speech by each candidate and 5 questions with 2 minutes to speak each on each question) ahead of time by months.

The DAY BEFORE, Rubio called and said he had an early flight out the next day and asked if he could go first. The club worked with him as much as they could while being fair.

Then, the DAY OF, Rubio only wanted to have his speech and quickly answer questions without the possible back and forth 2 minute answers together.

DURING THE MEETING (after this video), Rubio was on the phone with Former Senator Bob Smith discussing the possible "terms" of the "debate" as the dinner already started and people have been waiting.

End result. Rubio let down a large room that wanted to see a debate that he agreed to. Sen. Smith went on to speak by himself.

Scared to debate Sen. Bob Smith?

A hypocrite for not wanting to debate other candidates after trying to call Governor Crist out for not debating?

So everyone turned him down except the local candidate that can't get out of his own county. There are 66 other counties. So I believe he'll sweep 1 county.

There are zero compelling reasons why Bob Smith should even be in this race, his political career ended in New Hampshire after he endorsed John Kerry. He isn't even registering in the polls, and he isn't campaigning across the state. Marco has challenged Gov. Crist to 10 debates, but not one peep from the Governor. Smith is simply looking for attention, and make actually be an establishment "plant' candidate to lure conservatives away from Marco and throw the race to Gov. Crist.

The guy speaking in this video sounds like a jerk. He obviously is biased and admits it at 1:11 when he agreed with Marco and then after he spoke with Bob Smith who complained about Marco, the guy speaking here then flip-flopped and took Bob's side.

Marco has come to our events in Tampa - even smaller than this event. He is a true patriot and I have nothing but respect for him.

AND I WOULD NEVER SUPPORT BOB SMITH WHO ENDORSED SENATOR JOHN KERRY FOR PRESIDENT IN 2004!!!
