@villainsrule The purpose of this video IS to shock...to make people aware, to make them think. Once you get the IDEA down then you can do something about it. It's not useless; exposure is the first step

I stand by original statement: you can't treat an illness by fighting its symptoms one at a time. If you can honestly change the consciousness of humanity by merely telling them to focus on love and not money, then go for it...prove me wrong. This video has had millions of hits in its original upload and yet still no change.

But since I'm a realist, I know you can't win this fight without taking down the powers that be in this world.

So, Mr. Realist...

How about treating the symptom AND the causes? Maybe the problem is that we need a better boat, but that doesn't mean we can't throw drowning people a line. As we do, we'll get a lot of people to pay attention to the need for more.

By the way, "millions of views and no change" isn't true. ONE million views, and as a result, about 350 communities have clean water (that's a quarter million people). Watch the most recent video on my profile to see one.

Just sayin'.

Small, small victories at best. You won't win the war like this. I'll give you credit for trying, but being an optimist will only get you so far. If you honestly believe efforts like this will allow the starving and thirsty of this world to have better lives, then godspeed.Take down the "powers that be" in this world and you may be in business. Just keep this fact in mind: for all of your good intentions, there will always be someone out there trying to capitalize on your progress.

Sounds like an excuse to sit on your cynical hands and do nothing. Lame.

Work on the big, systemic issues of our world? Yes!

Let people die because of hunger, thirst, and abject poverty in the meantime? No, thanks!

Phraseling, you're too old to be this naive. But whatever helps you feel better about yourself. Do you have any idea how much the US spends on the military each year? Forget Christmas, if we stopped pointless wars and misused funding for hurting people and focused it on helping then that would be a real accomplishment. But as I said before, the powers that be on this planet will never let you succeed. You're not the first to try this...

It doesn't matter your religion. Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Atheist, all are welcome to celebrate Christmas Commercially.

And all of us are guilty for not giving enough to that old person with no family shivering alone during the winter, or that kid with no toys and only dirt to play in.

We could all benefit from this video. We shouldn't stop spending money on great gifts, but maybe set a tiny bit more aside for a charity. It would help the world so much if everyone did it.
