This is probably my favourite clip from a great movie called "Surplus: Terrorised into being consumers"

.. its a must watch for anyone. Beautifully produced, wonderful music and editing and thought provoking.

Ron Paul is a smart man. He's not an idiot, and what he says holds bearing. What he is saying is we should go back to the gold standard, and worry about OUR OWN ECONOMY. We could have our own currency, backed by gold. Remember, all the green acres around us. We should be getting our own food, and supplying our own people. Building our own structures, and stop doing so much god damned importing. There are millions of ways that we could save the economy. Ron Paul has the right idea.

I agree with Pressence101.  There are some sheeple who lack the mental capacity to undergo any crisis situation. Even when the solution is presented, their minds are so engraved with media propaganda that they are "ENSLAVED" with consumerism and socialist ideals. Fear overcomes them and they turn to the only savior they have...the GovernMENt.
