Yosemite National Park Ranger Shelton Johnson was the keynote speaker at the APPL conference in San Diego on February 10th. While there, he visited Cabrillo National Monument and spent some time with Mark Finley and Warren Bielenberg talking about a wide range of issues in America's public lands. Topics included the importance of getting kids outdoors, national parks as sanctuary for wildlife, keeping wildlife wild, wolves in Yellowstone, and racial and cultural diversity in our public lands. Shelton has worked for the national park service for over 20 years and is featured in Ken Burns' documentary film "National Parks: America's Best Idea."
