This is so amazing. I heard him live in Atlanta a few years ago. If only I had heard this recording prior to my performance of this back in the 80's. It is so perfectly pure and "as it should be"!

What tension and drama Moravec projects in this piece, the real Beethoven! Few pianists can play piano-pianissimo like Moravec, which for me is the mark of a true artist (as opposed to how loud they can play). I'll never forget a superb NY recital by Moravec in 1982...he played this, also an unforgettable Chopin Polonaise-Fantaisie, and the Beethoven 32 Variations as an encore!
