And it was "originally" recorded and WRITTEN by Rick Cartey. He sang it from the heart and it was amazing, The record company was evil, did not push his 45 at all, and then stole the song (since singers often were only credited as vocalists. Even though they wrote their own music were not listed or credited or PAID for the song and often the songs were then stolen and given to more popular artist.) such a bummer
